After A Massive Loss, Cowboys President Issues the Biggest Ultimatum to His Players

Just a few weeks after Dallas Cowboys owner and president Jerry Jones caved to political correctness and took a knee with his players prior to the national anthem, he has made it clear what can be can expected from the team going forward.

When the Cowboys played the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 25, the entire Cowboys team, including Jones and his family, stepped onto the field and knelt before the national anthem began playing.

Fans in the Cardinals stadium unleashed a wave of boos as the Cowboys decided to blatantly disrespect the anthem and flag.
Since then, Jones has apparently realized that the American people will not support a league or team that endorse actions that disrespect our nation and its symbols of freedom.

According to Fox News, Jones made it crystal clear on Sunday that any player on his team who disrespects the flag and anthem will not play.

Jones’ strong stand came after he was asked about Vice President Mike Pence and second lady Karen Pence leaving the Indianapolis Colts game on Sunday after several San Francisco 49ers players knelt during the anthem.
“I know this, we cannot … in the NFL in any way give the implication that we tolerate disrespecting the flag,” Jones said after a loss to the Green Bay Packers.

“We know that there is a serious debate in this country about those issues, but there is no question in my mind that the National Football League and the Dallas Cowboys are going to stand up for the flag. So we’re clear,” he added.

Americans have been expressing that they’re sick and tired of NFL players protesting the national anthem, and it seems someone has finally gotten the message.

“There is no room here if it comes between looking non-supportive of our players and of each other or creating the impression that you’re disrespecting the flag, we will be non-supportive of each other,” Jones said.

“We will not disrespect the flag.”

He said he wasn’t aware of any Cowboys players who may have raised a fist into the air before or during the Packers game, but again asserted that his players will not play if they disrespect the flag.

“I don’t know about that,” Jones said. “But if there’s anything that is disrespectful to the flag, then we will not play. OK? Understand? If we are disrespecting the flag, then we won’t play. Period.”

If the NFL’s declining ratings have taught us anything, it’s that empowering those who insult our flag and anthem is bad for business.

A majority of the American people stand together, unified in the belief that NFL players shouldn’t disrespect our flag or our anthem.

Let’s hope other NFL coaches will get the message and follow Jones’s decision to uphold the tradition of respecting our flag, anthem and those who died for our freedoms.
